SPENDING TOO MUCH TIME ONLINE, ON A SCREEN & ON THE SOFA?

Well, you’re not the only one. Curated Spaces is the podcast on a mission to reignite real world connection.

What started as a project to share the stories behind spaces has snowballed into something a little bit bigger.

From founders sharing their stories of burnout and loneliness to the spaces leading the charge in rewilding and sustainable food production, Curated Spaces is about living life in full colour and connecting deeply with the spaces and faces around us.

THE HOST: MOLLY COOPER

Introducing the podcast newbie, long time hotel lover and supper club enthusiast.

How did Curated Spaces come about?

Completely out of the blue to be honest. I’d just enrolled in a tech accelerator programme when we went away for my parent’s wedding anniversary and stumbled upon this great little pub with rooms in the Malvern Hills. On the way home, I had the idea for a podcast that would explore the stories of under the radar spaces like this one and thought why the hell not. I quit the tech accelerator the next day and started working on what would become Curated Spaces.

What spaces attract you and why?

Anything with a story and strong sense of place. I like spaces that have a real identity and edge, whether that’s a passion for biodynamics and soil health or fragments of history woven into the interiors. For me, the best spaces bring people from all walks of life together.

Where do you want to take Curated Spaces in the future?

I’m absolutely loving exploring the UK at the moment and have a newfound appreciation for this country of ours. Saying that, I wouldn’t say no to a trip overseas. Probably somewhere you can reach by train or car and preferably somewhere off the beaten track. Scandinavia could be cool.

What’s been your biggest takeaway since starting the podcast?

I’ve been bowled over by the passion and hard work that has gone into every single space we feature. Hospitality is a hard industry (looking at you Covid) and it’s been amazing to see the grit of all the founders and their determination to leave something behind bigger than themselves.

If Curated Spaces had a mantra, what would it be?
